Tadum is from the Tha Bo area. It is assumed that Tadum was sold to a taxi driver as her parents died of AIDS. The taxi driver was a drunk who not only failed to properly care for Tadum but also abused the young girl. In October of 2001, when the Sarnelli staff came to take Tadum, her "stepfather" was too drunk to even raise his head. When Tadum arrived at Sarnelli, she was in rough condition because she had not received proper medical attention. After a month her physical condition has improved. A big smile on her face is proof that she is much happier with her new family at Sarnelli. Tadum is attending a School in Nong Khai.
