Sone (Ganyarat Ubonban)

Sone and her two older sisters Van and Nam Phon are from the city of Tha Bo. For Sone and her sisters the Sarnelli Staff happened to be in the right place at the right time. The girls' mother, who is an alcoholic, a prostitute, and HIV positive, was in town attempting to sell Van, the oldest daughter, into prostitution. A Sarnelli Staff member overheard the conversation and outbid the buyer. Van was immediately moved to Viengkhuk Children's Hospice where she informed the staff that her two younger sisters were still living with their mother. When the Sarnelli Staff went to their home, it was clear that the girls were not being raised properly or healthy, and the two younger girls were taken in. Sone moved into Sarnelli House in February of 2001. Presently Sone is too young to determine whether or not she is HIV positive. What is clear is the fact that she is an energetic and happy child. It is a common sight to see Sone running around, screaming and laughing. She also loves to play hide and seek.
