Kee-Dee was born in Udon Hospital, his mother is infected with HIV, and his father left when she was pregnant. His mother remarried and Kee-Dee has a little sister, who is also infected with HIV. Kee-Dee's family were unable to look after him, so he was sent to the Social Welfare Home for Girls in Udon. He was then sent to the Social Welfare Home in Nong Khai to attend school, however they do not accept children with HIV. He came to Sarnelli House in March 2003. He is being treated for his HIV with antiretroviral (ARV) medicines, and is attending school at Nong Khai.
