About us
Peter (Dej Yamsri)

Peter was born in Bhumiphol Hospital in Bangkok, of HIV+ parents. After Peter's mother passed away, his father brought him to his 70-year-old great grandmother for care before returning to work in Bangkok.
The great grandmother wanted Peter to have a good education so she sent him to a children's center near her home. Parents of the other school children rejected Peter, once they found out that Peter's mom died of AIDS. They did not want their children to study in the same school as Peter, and they refused to send their children to that school as long as Peter was there. So Peter was forced to withdraw from school and stay home. The teachers were sympathetic as well and gave Peter milk every week.
After a home visit by a volunteer from "Ban Pak Jai", it was found that Peter is HIV+ and so he was referred to Sarnelli House for care.
Peter is a healthy and cheerful boy who blends in quickly with other children. He is also hospitable, sharing his food and money with others soon after meeting them.

Peter has no sponsor. This could be your chance to secure a better future for this child!
